My motto
“Solving today’s problems while building tomorrow’s opportunities.”
01 / Profile

From ambiguous problem to scalable capability.

My approach combines user discovery, enterprise architecture, transformation leadership, and disciplined delivery: work with domain leaders and users, understand workflows and constraints, frame the opportunity, prove value through POCs and MVPs, then build governance, adoption, and rollout plans around what works.

I am most effective as a player-coach: setting direction, building alignment, and staying close enough to the technology to prototype, review decisions, and remove delivery blockers.

Roadmaps that hold
Two decades in plant and enterprise technology before moving to global strategy, so the plans account for how the floor actually works.
Firsthand, not secondhand
Four years working hands-on with AI agents means technology decisions rest on my own judgment rather than vendor claims.
Discover → prove → scale
Start with the operational problem, prove value close to users, then convert field insight into a reusable capability.
02 / Career timeline

From systems to strategy.

Twenty-seven years of expanding scope — from the plant floor in Brazil to enterprise software in Canada to global manufacturing transformation across three regions.

IT Senior Section Leader — Global Manufacturing Digital Transformation, Sustainability & EHS

Current role · 4 yrs 5 mos
  • Lead digital-transformation initiatives across 20+ plants in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, partnering with the CIO and with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and cybersecurity leadership to turn business requirements into technology roadmaps and repeatable delivery models.
  • Helped establish a global plant-floor data capability, centralizing manufacturing information in Snowflake for analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI — cutting access to comparable operational data from hours to seconds.
  • Originated the Manufacturing DataOps solution and proved it through POC and MVP; now delivering it with the global team across the manufacturing footprint, on a repeatable model built for broader global rollout.
  • Designed and delivered an Engineering AI Translator, first deployed in the Americas and later made available to global engineering teams.
  • Applied AI-assisted engineering to advance a manufacturing application revamp from approximately 50% to 85% completion in two weeks.
  • Led vendor evaluation and implementation of a global sustainability reporting platform, replacing spreadsheet-based reporting with a governed enterprise solution and improving data control, consistency, and stakeholder visibility.

03 / Capabilities

Depth that compounds.

Plant operations, enterprise technology, industrial data, and executive strategy — the combination lets me make decisions that hold up on the floor and in the roadmap.

04 / How I operate
01
Useful over fashionable
Adopt technology when it creates measurable value on the floor — not because it is new.
02
Start in the workflow
Work beside domain leaders and users to understand the real job, constraints, and adoption path before designing the solution.
03
Build capability, not dependency
Every pilot should leave behind a repeatable model the next plant can run without me.
05 / Beyond my career

Curious by nature. Grit by choice.

I’ve been a learner since I was young — history, and any topic that forces me to see the world through someone else’s eyes, not only mine. I’m curious at my core, always chasing the why, how, and what behind the things I learn, and I love turning technical complexity into something anyone can understand.

None of it happens without my family — my wife, Angelita, and my daughters, Raiane and Luisa, have been the bedrock of my career. Leaving the comfort of my mother tongue and culture to build a life in a new country says everything about what I value: I’m not afraid of change, and I know that where I want to go will take the time it takes.

Three platform shifts · three times I built

Every era, the same pattern: see the shift early, learn it, and ship something real with it. That habit is the reason I can lead transformation and still open the editor myself.

Age 25 · Mobile era
Built “Sales Force,” the first mobile solution in Latin America to send orders from the field straight into the business — cutting time to invoice a customer from about three weeks to three days.
Internet Boom
Saw an opening in the web as a sales platform, and built it myself.
AI era · last 4 years
Delivering real applications with AI agents — not because it’s easy, but because experience plus AI is a real edge.

“Grit is the word that guides my life — from Brazil to Canada, and Canada to the U.S. I crawl, walk, and run until I get where I’m going.”

06 / What I think about

Notes from the floor.

The questions I keep coming back to in IT/OT, industrial data, and AI in manufacturing. I share what I’m learning as I go — the conversation lives on LinkedIn.

Industrial data
Why slow plant-floor data is a leadership problem, not a technical one
AI in practice
AI-assisted engineering — what changes when experienced people get these tools

How I keep learning

The degrees came early. The learning never stopped — and for me it has always meant building, not collecting certificates.

Over the past four years that has meant teaching myself to build with AI: designing and shipping the Engineering AI Translator on Azure AI, Python, and Streamlit, and delivering working applications with AI agents. I read constantly — history most of all — because the habit of seeing a problem from someone else’s point of view is the one that transfers to every technology that comes next.
